It was in 2006, after five years of preparation and care exploring the magic of Alicante wines, when the Bodegas Sierra Salinas project became a reality with the inauguration by the Castaño family of a winery that is a true reflection of technology.
A unique land and a privileged location are the aspects that make Bodegas Sierra Salinas in Villena (Alicante) one of the wineries with one of the sweetest landscapes in southeastern Spain, becoming the property of MGWines Group in 2013.
This privileged location makes the winery building a fantastic viewpoint where wine lovers are enraptured by the scenic beauty of the area. From its vineyards is born one of the most prized designations of origin in Spain: DO Vinos de Alicante.
Facilities born of innovation and technology
The differentiating factor of Bodegas Sierra Salinas is the enhancement of the Monastrell grape, the native grape of Alicante, and its production process and the uniqueness of its building, which is designed on different levels to take advantage of gravity in the transfer of Alicante wine, without the need for electric pumps, thus allowing the production of more natural wines, where you can really appreciate all the qualities of the grape.
In addition, its underground French oak barrel room allows for natural thermal insulation, which leads to the creation of different and very special Alicante wines.
