The winery was founded as a community of owners in 1960, but it was in 1994 when Santiago Arroyo acquired it and decided to embark on a new phase with a solid business project, in which he undertook a total renovation of the facilities and the construction of a new underground ageing hall of 1,000 square metres with a capacity for more than 4,000 oak barrels, plus a bottling room.

The high standard achieved by Tinto Arroyo (reserva and crianza) and the numerous awards obtained in the prestigious international competitions in which it participates, are the basis that encourages it to undertake this important expansion with a significant increase in the capacity of the facilities, with special attention to each phase of wine production and an extended aging period that allows to maintain and improve, if possible, the high quality obtained.
