Bodegas Arzuaga is located in Valladolid, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. The setting for the wines produced by the winery is the La Planta estate, owned by the Arzuaga family in the Valladolid town of Quintanilla de Onésimo. This estate has a privileged location for the cultivation of vines, as its vines receive the sun and humidity necessary for the perfect ripening of the grapes.
The production of Arzuaga wines is undoubtedly based on three premises: the soil, the climate and the orientation.
La Planta is a place where the flora and fauna of the area coexist. A flora made up of pines, holm oaks and junipers and a fauna made up of wild boar and deer. This coexistence is undoubtedly the proof of the Arzuaga family's love for the world of nature. The estate consists of 1,400 hectares, a real luxury in the heart of the Denomination and Golden Mile of Ribera del Duero.
It was in the early 1990s when Florentino Arzuaga, after purchasing the La Planta estate, began planting vines, building the winery and, of course, making wine.
