Ca'n Verdura Supernova Moll 2020

The origins of Ca'n Verdura go back six generations, working and cultivating the vineyards of Binissalem among the "possessions i cellers" that for centuries have surrounded the wine-producing village par excellence of the island of Mallorca.

As a result of this tradition, the project could only be understood in one way: to produce wines with Mallorcan character, native varieties such as Mantonegro, Callet and Moll, in short, Binissalem wines. The viticulture of recent years has been introducing varieties from other areas, proclaiming them noble to the detriment of the autochthonous varieties. The idea of Ca'n Verdura is to break with this trend and demonstrate that Mantonegro can be used to make wines of great representativeness and personality.

In 2010 the adventure of Ca'n Verdura began, without its own winery, using Mantonegro from the grandfather's estate, recovering the variety and adapting it to modern winemaking methods. It was the first step of what would become, two years later, the Bodega Ca'n Verdura. That year around 700 bottles were produced. The year 2012 arrived and the doors of Ca'n Verdura opened in an old garage in the centre of the village of Binissalem.

With its own winery, the Ca'n Verdura family of wines began to be made, seeking out the nuances that the different wine-growing areas of the Binissalem region have to offer. Over the following years, Ca'n Verdura has matured, always maintaining its original essence, character and family tradition, while at the same time adapting to the demands of each vintage. In this way, the ideas and intentions that have been preserved from the very beginning have been expressed.
