At the end of the 1980s, a new generation renewed the Rioja wine sector. Carmen Daurella and Mario Rotllant arrived in La Rioja with the firm intention of creating a project that would bring something new to the world of wine. So began an exciting, ambitious, demanding and unprecedented adventure: Bodegas Roda.
It was founded in 1987 and its facilities have been adapted to the needs of the time and the pace of development, growing structurally in four phases developed in 1991, 1996, 2000 and 2018. All of them have been carried out in accordance with the problems of the time, with the 2018 phase -which has just concluded- having an energy objective in accordance with the 21st century: optimising energy efficiency and using renewable energies.
