In 2005, with a view to revitalising the food and wine culture in Bizkaia, Eneko Atxa and his uncle Gorka Izagirre designed a unique project combining haute cuisine and the world of wine, thus becoming benchmarks in both sectors.
The aim of the winery led today by Bertol Izagirre and his oenologist José Ramón Calvo is to create txakoli and quality wines that reflect the identity of unique varieties in the world and their environment: Bizkaia.
