Bodegas Muga is a family business founded by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño in 1932, located in the historic Barrio de La Estación in Haro. In its nearly 25,000 square metres, the most traditional winemaking methods are combined with the most avant-garde techniques.
At Muga, we always use the finest materials and open our doors to new techniques that improve quality without losing authenticity. To make each of our wines, we continue to use traditional procedures:
- Through the natural process of clarification, we eliminate the particles in suspension that appear in the wine.
- We carry out the racking using the traditional gravity method.
We are the only winery in Spain with a master barrel-maker and three coopers of our own. We make our barrels with the best oak, giving them the right toasting inside to achieve wines with a unique character.
