Founded in 1980 by Mariano García in memory of his father, Bodegas Mauro has always been committed to excellence. Balanced and elegant wines, with a vocation for ageing, that vindicate the identity of each terroir and the attributes of the grape varieties.
Bodegas Mauro is located in the historic town of Tudela de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, 19 kilometres from the capital of Valladolid, in the heart of the Duero Valley, on the right bank of the middle course of this great river that encircles the town with its horseshoe shape.
The first vinifications were carried out in a restored 17th century manor house, a magnificent example of traditional architecture with an underground cellar. Today, it houses ageing rooms and a historic wine cellar.
In 2004, a new winery with refined lines was built on the outskirts of Tudela de Duero. After successive extensions, the production processes, from harvesting to bottling, are centralised in these facilities.
